Tasted like burnt cardboard with tomato paste, and for $16 it should have been at least decent. Also the pizza was terrible, absolutely inedible. And I wasn't taking my time or anything, she just literally wouldn't let me get the words out. There was only one other person in line or waiting so not sure what the rush was about. I ordered pizza at the Lobby bar and didn't even get to order a drink before the cashier was ringing me up, and she acted irritated when I tried to finish my order. The staff seems abrupt and quick to dismiss you. Fees to check in early, fees to get a late check out (and there's no late checkout on the weekend, even an hour), no vending machines so you have to get drinks and snacks from the Lobby bar, all of which are overpriced, and the food at the Signature restaurant was just average - definitely not equal to the cost. For one, the room was way overpriced for a Thursday (nearly $300 for a standard room, no mountain/lake view), and they've added fees to everything. My family lives locally and I've stayed here and visited the spa many times over the years and have always enjoyed it, but there was definitely a lot different this time. I have mixed feelings about my stay at Rocky Gap.
